Would a wireless adapter in a laptop connect to broadband?
I guess my first question is:
Is broadband something with a modem that you plug into your wall? or does it need to connect to a computer source to get internet?
Second:
Do you get a modem that wireless sources(like laptops/Xbox live wireless adapters) can connect to?
Yea sorry i’m basically clueless about this type of connection. lol broadband.

To be able to get online you need an Internet Service Provider (ISP). They will give you a cable modem and an IP address which you pay for monthly. When they give you this equipment you will also need to go out and buy a wireless router. Hook that into one of the RJ-45 jacks in the back of the modem and put the other end in the wireless router. This will give internet access to the router and allow for your laptop to pick up the wireless signal.
