Wireless network Problems – making a bridge?
Speedtouch is connected to the internet and I want to turn the D-link into a bridge so I can move my pc
Ok here what I got
a D-llink DI-624 wireless router and a speedtouch 585
So the network will look like this
Speedtouch>>>>>>>>>Dlink>>>>>>>>Pc
Anybody know if you can do this and if so how.
will love you long time if you can answer this.
to add more complexity to the problem a more indepth network map cos I am still having no luck.
>>> = wireless
—- – wire
W = wall socket
/ = wall
w —Speedtouch 585 / >>>> / wDlink——PC
If PC is placed in location of D-link get 80/90% signal strength.
Thanks for the help.

Speedtouch>>>>>>>>>Dlink>>>>>>>>Pc
There is the concept.
Install your telephone line to you Speedtouch. Then turn it on. Make sure you dial it first if u using broadband/ ISP. (Make sure your PC connect to SpeedTouch modem to confirm if internet is online)
At this rate, you can access internet already ? Then, proceed the next step..
Connect CAT-5 cable from D-link modem to SpeedTouch modem, then turn-on D-link modem.
Wait for 1/2 minutes, then you disconnect your PC from SpeedTouch and try to access Internet without attach to any modem. (If u still cant access the internet, check the with your ISP)
ISP = Internet Service Provider
GoodLuck.
