Where can I find drivers to restore internet access?
A friend had to erase the hard drive in order to get rid of the viruses, malware etc.The computer is working fine now but there is no internet access. he says it needs drivers or some program in order to have internet access again.Where can I find them? I have moved and some of the CDs for my computer and other itemsI owned were lost or misplaced in the process.

All you should need is the drivers for your network card. If you are in need of a browser.. firefox, Chrome, or Internet Explorer (which should be on your machine as soon as the operating system is in place)

I think you mean wireless connection.
you should have a cd that says drivers if not, use a hard wire (ethernet cable) and go to the manufacturer’s website and under support select the model and download the driver.
Good luck!!

You need to install the proper network card drivers. These days most network cards are integrated so you’ll find it among the drivers for your specific motherboard. If you aren’t sure of the model, download SIW (System Information for Windows). It’s a free utility which can display the details of all your computer’s components.
You’ll probably need to burn a CD to transfer the downloaded drivers to your recently reformatted computer. Until the proper motherboard drivers are installed, your internet access won’t work (and possibly your USB ports, too)

dear it difficult do one thing first format your system i mean only C drive and you can easily access internet . after access internet download UNIBLUE DRIVER SCANNER and scan your computer i t will automatically search missing drivers and install from internet itself.

you probably need to reinstall the drivers for you NIC card. (network interface card)
you’ll need to go to the manufacturers website to download the drivers if you don’t have the CD.
finding out who made the card might not be so easy. hopefully you’ve kept the paperwork at least for whats in the computer.
