Where can I find a single-channel, short range, wireless receiver/transmitter kit?
I’ve been searching for a while to try to find a very simple wireless transmitter/receiver kit/circuits/modules, but have had no luck.
I want a transmitter that is physically small (1cmx1cm or so), a receiver of any size. The transmitter will transmit only one signal – it is on or off (and will stay on or off for long periods at a time). It doesn’t need to have a 1000ft range, 25-50ft is plenty.
Anyone know where to order/buy/make something along these lines?

I would try hobby stores.
You can try to cannibalize a "key finder" set as well.
The set includes a transmitter and 4-5 receivers. You need to find though a way to turn on the transmitter!! It can be on as long as you press the button.
