What phones will allow me to use it as a wireless modem?
The guy at the store told me that I had to get a blackberry to use this feature, but the blackberry "fee" would completely make my idea worthless (eliminating my home internet service). So what I really want to do is have internet on my cell phone, then come home and use it on my computer.
What cellphone feature would I be looking for?
How fast would the internet be?
Your answers are greatly appreciated.

I have sprint, if fact am connect to it right now, very happy with it and paying 10.00 for the internet service. But its weird when I went to them they told me I don’t have the service PAM phone as modem, I have a ic902 which is already discontinued, I hope I can find another one on ebay since is not working really good since it fell in the toilet…wonder why

Most new cell phones can access the internet – blackberry being one of them. I would imagine if you want to interface the computer to the phone, your internet speed would be limited by the phone speed. I would expect that to be as quick as dial up!

I’m sorry. It’s 230Kb/s. But compared to my 22,000kb/s for broadband, I probably stick to my real modem!
And you would probably need wireless on your computer.
