Ethernet is essentially "wired" internet, wireless is…well "wireless"…thats the main difference. Ethernet works more efficiently, but wireless is not bound by a cable. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

ethernet is cabled/wired networking Wireless is a non cable/cordless networking like WiFi (Wireless Fidelity)
Wireless networking you need a wireless router/modem for and a wireless nic card for the computer
most notebook/laptops are wireless networking or has WiFi
desktop computers which are the basic big computers you use thats on your desks take ethernet
ethernet however can be faster than wireless depending on the signal of your wireless or WiFi connection some desktops has WiFi too

Hello ,
Ethernet Cables is required to connect the PC to : a Modem , Router , Printer etc. . The Ethernet Cable shold always be kept near-by . You will need it from time to time when wireless . The Ethernet Cable will remain connected between the PC and the Wireless router until the Wireless Wizard completes . You will be instructed by the wizard when to remove the Ethernet Cable . After the PC and/or Printer is successfuly communicating wirelessly , the Ethernet Cable will be removed and stored near-by . Each component to be installed wireless will need this Ethernet Cable .1Ethernet Cable is all you need . If there are wireless communication issues at any time .. you mayinstantly resume communication with the router by connecting the Ethernet Cable to the Wireless router and the PC -or- Printer . When the Ethernet Cable is connecting the Router and the PC .. you are "Wired" .
