Trying to connect Xbox 360 to a wireless access point?

I’m trying to connect my 360 to an access point but I’m having some trouble. Quick overview:

We have a belkin wireless router upstairs but my xbox is downstairs. I don’t have a wireless adapter for the xbox but I have another router (that can be used as an access point). What I want to do is set up the access point to receive the wireless signal and plug the xbox into the access point so the xbox "thinks" its a LAN connection. The router I set up as an access point is a D-link wbr-2310.

I’ve uploaded some pictures (just click the following link then click either scan 1 or scan 2). Scan 2 is just showing the location of the equipment through the house, scan 1 is a diagram of what I’m trying to do (dotted line is wireless signal and solid line is LAN):

Any info will help! Thanks in advance!
@Brandon, I have a ps3 lol but I’m home for the summer and my brother has the 360
@Joe Macoosa, As far as getting to the menu you are reffering to, I know how to get there. The wbr-2310 can in fact be used as an access point.

I’ve gone to 192.168.0.1 (my routers ip – the one I am using as an access point) and set the SSID, password, channel to the same as my wireless router. I’ve updated to the latest firmware (1.05 for the d-link) and I Think eveything should be good to go.But when I plug it into the xbox, and go to network connections via the xbox, it asks for the PPOE information – I don’t really know what that is. I’ve put in the SSID and everything, but still not working.

I want to connect to the city's wireless network, but the signal is too weak in my apartment. How to boost?

I’m living in Madison WI, and while I can see the network, it’s too weak to connect.

It would be sweet to reduce my wireless bill a bit and be able to connect anywhere downtown.

Ideally I would like to be able to connect without plugging anything into my computer (maybe some device can amplify the wireless signal and then re-broadcast it through my apartment?) But this is not a requirement. Thanks :-)

Can you use a router as a wireless adapter?

Why won't my iPod touch work on my wireless network after I connect my PS3 to the network?

I recently bought a PS3 and connected it to my wireless network. Now my iTouch will not work on the network. It recognizes the network and appears to connect but the wireless signal icon does not appear in the upper left corner and there is no connectivity for the browser or any apps.

Can I use a wireless access point to connect wired devices to the internet THROUGH a wireless signal?

My wireless router is upstairs but I have devices w/o wireless cards downstairs which I would like to connect to the internet. I need a device which will connect these wired devices to the wireless signal- would a wireless access point be what I’m looking for?

Thanks!!
Have tried USB wireless adapters in the past and have had horrible luck with them. If you can recommend one which actually works, I’ll check it out.

Why does my wireless network stop working when a computer is plugged in with an ethernet cable?

I currently use an AT&T 2Wire Wireless Gateway to connect 5 laptops and 1 desktop to the internet. The desktop is always connected by an ethernet cable, but all of the laptops use the wireless signal from the gateway. However, whenever the desktop (a Dell Studio E7500) is turned on, the wireless signal is immediately undetectable and no other computer can get online unless it is also connected through an ethernet cable. Is there a way to remedy this?

If I buy just a USB wireless adapter, do I need a wireless router to send/receive a signal?

I have an iPhone currently but no WiFi at my house. My neighbor has it though and if I need to do somethings with it, I just go outside and use it for a bit, then go back inside. If I buy a wireless adapter and I don’t have a wireless router, can I still use a wireless signal transmitting from my computer?
