Sorry if this question doesn’t make sense, as I don’t know that much about internet settings like these and internet connection with Wii.

Where do I look to find my wireless router security ID?
I am looking for the best route to go for internet use instead of dial up? I have heard of the air time cards and satellite internet. Which one is the cheapest and the best? Also I have three other pc’s and need to use a wireless router with which ever I decide to get.
I currently have a wireless router using 192.168.0.99. This router has a number of wired devices connected, including a long run to a second building which is out of range of the wireless. I want to have wireless access in this second building. The second building currently has a wired hub with 5 computers connected by wired connections.
What piece of equipment would I use in the second building to set this up?
Would the second building be a separate network from the main building?
Would the router/access point in the second building inherit the network information from the main router, or would it be configured separately?
Would I need to change any configurations on my main router?
For what it’s worth, my main router is a D-Link DIR-615.
I have a wireless router at my house and I can get internet access but I want to have internet access at a friends house.
It was working fine yesterday till night time. Internet speeds drops to a few kbps and i always get disconnected from my wireless router.
And now , my wireless router isn’t showing up on the wireless network connections.
Everything was fine till yesterday.

Yesterday night when i was watching 微笑Pasta on PPStream , my internet speed suddenly drops.
Then my laptop got disconnected with my home’s wireless access point. So i connected it back again but after a few seconds , it disconnects. I switched off and on my modem and wireless router but still , once i connect to my wireless access point , it disconnects again.
It got worst , now , windows is not even able to detect my home’s access point when it’s turned on.
But it works when i plugged in the LAN Cable through the wireless router.
What to do ? Router spoiled or something ?
Router settings :
Locked , WPA2-Personal.

So i burned the cd and booted it and when i click network it doesnt show me the networks and the bars like windows. How do i get my laptop to connect to the wireless router????? also linux wont allow me to install it on a external harddrive…. can anyone help with any of the two questions?

I’m trying to hook up the TV in the living room so it can be wireless. From my understanding, it doesn’t have the WIFI option so I need to do a wireless bridge. I have a wireless router but I would need to buy something else, correct? Then I would plug my TV into that device and connect to the internet through that? What would I need to buy?

Well I have a 2Wire ADSL wireless router (inclues the modem), hence I was wondering if its possible to use this device as an wireless access point and not using its modem part. I.e want to make an wireless access point with an external modem or a already existing network using a CAT5 cable. If not is their a way to convert this ADSL modem/router to a regular wireless router?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a printer with an Ethernet port that I once used for network printing. However, a recent rearranging of my house puts my wireless router too far away for the printer’s Ethernet cable to reach it. However, I have a spare wireless router, some kind of Linksys G router. Is there any way to add the router, with the printer connected to it, to my preexisting wireless network so that I can print from any computer on my network? If so, how? Thanks.
