I have a wireless connection, and get my signal from another computer connected to a cable from the wall. His internet works fine. My computer shows that I am getting a good signal, but when I open internet explorer a completley blank page opens, but on the tab, it says my homepage (yahoo).
I have Windows Xp, and use a belkin wireless router. Any help would be appreciated.
There are 3 laptops connected to the network also, and each one works fine.
I live in an apartment complex with many different wireless networks. I do NOT want to illegally use another’s wireless connection. However, I would like to know if there is a way to find the exact location of a certain network. Is this possible?

i know how to bridge but this time on a differnt wireless connection I tried to bridge from my laptop to my 360 it work ok for like 5 min then it went off now my internet is not working. can someone tell me what went wrong and do anybody know how to fix it
Is there a way to look at your computer’s network connection and see if someone is connected to your wireless connection? Also how do you encrypt your connection to prevent it?

My friend asked their neighbours to use their internet connection for a while, but eventhough she now has gotten internet service, her computer still keeps getting connected to that neighbour wireless. The person (neighbour) who has wireless connection, is a "Wireless Communication" engineer and they have 2 devices (like 2 modems) for their internet.
I wonder if the neighbour can easily see if my friend still gets connected to their wireless internet. If so how?

I have Windows vista
We have a desktop running Vista connected by ethernet cable to our network and a laptop running Vista connected by ethernet cable and a wireless connection to the network. From the desktop, I connect to the laptop and copy files from laptop to desktop. Usually, this uses the laptop’s wireless connection, which is much slower. Can I configure Vista to always use the cable connection? Thank you.
The network that I’m already signed up with is At&T and they provide internet access for my desktop. However, it is not wireless. Right now, I have no wireless connection if I were to just use my netbook. In addition, what is a router and a modem? Please help!
