How to set up a wireless bridge for Sony Bravio TV?

I’m trying to hook up the TV in the living room so it can be wireless. From my understanding, it doesn’t have the WIFI option so I need to do a wireless bridge. I have a wireless router but I would need to buy something else, correct? Then I would plug my TV into that device and connect to the internet through that? What would I need to buy?

More specifically i have an (original) Xbox and obviously on the back, for internet all it has is an Ethernet port. I don’t want to spend the whole on the Microsoft brand one so I’m looking specifically at the Netgear WG602 as a wireless bridge. I know the online servers are down so you don’t have to tell me (I’m using the Xbox connect program but don’t worry about that).

How do I make my xbox 360 work with my xbox wireless adapter?

I have an original xbox wireless adapter, model # MN-740, and am trying to connect my xbox 360 to it. The 360 recognizes the wireless bridge and is connected, but for some reason it fails every time on the IP Address part. I have a Belkin wireless router, model # F5D7230-4. The people at xbox support say it will work, but they, as well as I, think that some kind of setting with my pc or router is stopping the communication. The adapter’s firmware is up to date. I’ve rattled my noggin for a week on this thing so far and have no results yet. Any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advanced.

360/PS3/Wii – Built-In Wireless? Or Wireless Bridge?

I was testing with the PS3′s internal wireless, and it sometimes has connectivity issues when I first connect. The 360 doesn’t have on-board wifi, and it costs 50-100 bucks, just for the regular wireless adapter. The wii has wi-fi only, with a or so dollar part for ethernet. My question is this: Is it worth keeping the system wireless, and getting the X-Box 360? Or would I get better signal putting a Linksys WET610N wireless bridge closer to the router [same room], and running cabling through a switch to my consoles? Which one might have the better performance?

My brother and I have an xbox 360, both wireless and on xbox live. Is there an easy way to link Ad Hoc?

He uses the official usb xbox dongle, i am using an ethernet wireless bridge. Both link to the internet through our homes wireless router. Can we link Ad Hoc to play system link games? I.e without going through xbox live? Also is there a way of doing this without losing the network details for the router? I’m asking because its possible to play using two controllers per console whilst playing COD 4 i.e four player multiplayer. Many thanks in advance

Want to extend the range of my wireless router with another wireless router?

I have a Linksys WRT54GL which works great but it is in my basement and I want to get a better signal outside on my patio. I have an extra router, a TP-Link TL-WR541G.

Do I want to turn this extra router into a wireless repeater or a wireless bridge? And what are the necessary steps?

Yes, I know it’s possible. I want to use what I have not buy something else. No sense in having this extra router just sit around doing nothing. So, once again. Can I have anymore information on how to go about this?

Is it possible to use a router and a bridge together?

So here goes: I am in a roommate situation, we have cable internet modem hooked up to a wireless router (802.11g). All my devices connect via wireless 802.11g … this works fine.

I would like to do more advanced stuff with the network, but would rather mange my own network plus id like to have my network be 802.11n for better speed + streams between my devices.

I can connect a new 802.11n router and configure all my computers/devices to use it, thats fine. But I also need to access the internet through the existing router.

Due to the house an room configuration i would like to have my router (B) access router (A) wirelessly.

I was thinking of getting a wireless bridge device that i can configure to work with router (A, existing router) wirelessly and using an eithernet cat5 cable connect it to my router (B, 802.11n), in theory i think this would work, my question is, would it, has anyone tried this?

How to run ethernet across my house from my wireless router…?

I have a small ranch style house that has a crawl space under it. My problem is my wireless router works but my XBox 360 and Blu-ray player are obviously not wireless. I have tried a wireless bridge that I have from Linksys and a wireless usb adapter on both of these and cannot get them to connect to my network. I know that xbox makes the wireless adapter but I dont’ like having to spend or more just to fix this one product…the blu ray player requires a hard wire connection I found out.

SO my question is, what do I need exactly to run my ethernet cable (what type is best) from my linksys wireless router to the complete opposite side of my house? I would like something that can expand the ethernet to 4 or 5 things so if I add something new I will not have to go back under my house and run a new wire. I’m sure this can be done and isn’t that hard, I just don’t know exactly what I need to purchase for this project.

Is it possible to connect a wireless Ethernet adapter using a Wi-Fi hotspot to a router to share Internet?

My new apartment has a free Wi-fi access point. I currently have a router and have 2 pc’s and an xbox using a wired network.

Can I use a wireless ethernet adaptor ( for example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124279 ) to grab the free Wi-Fi and plug that into the "internet" port on my router? Will I be able to access the internet on all the PC’s and maintain the internal network?

In theory, it seems like it could work, but I did try it with a wireless bridge and for whatever reason, no one else could use the internet in my entire building for about a week… pretty embarassing.

I am a little hesitant to try again…. but was wondering if it would work with one of these "wireless ethernet adaptors" as opposed to the bridge that I tried earlier (they seem like the same thing to me…).

wireless bridge for online gaming?

Area (1) have internet, area (2) doesn’t, so I want to connect area (2) with internet from area (1) by making a wireless bridge.
the distance between them is 313 feet. there are no obstacles such as building or anything, the two homes facing each other.
I’ll need the internet for area (2) basically for online gaming (lan) and online multiplayer, so I need something with low latency, something that can replace the internet cable.

is there any better way, or should I go for the wireless bridge ? I cannot have cable or install a different internet on area (2) the only way is to go wireless.
