I have a wireless connection, and get my signal from another computer connected to a cable from the wall. His internet works fine. My computer shows that I am getting a good signal, but when I open internet explorer a completley blank page opens, but on the tab, it says my homepage (yahoo).
I have Windows Xp, and use a belkin wireless router. Any help would be appreciated.
There are 3 laptops connected to the network also, and each one works fine.

I recently reformated my pc and reinstalled windows xp. Now I can not connect to the internet. How can I configure my computer to connect to the internet. Diagnostics states that drivers are installed.

I have a Windows XP laptop, and I have a external wireless card. It detects the connection and says that it is connected to the internet, but the internet does not work. When I try to connect directly with my modem, again the internet does not work. I know my wireless adapter works because I tested it with another computer.

I have two systems in networking by LAN, one system is Windows 98 and other is Windows XP. Now, I have connected Broadband internet connection with system of windows XP through USB. The system of Windows XP is connected with internet but I am not able to surf internet at system with Windows 98. Kindly instruct as to how the internet connection can be achieved at both the systems. I am layman in this field. Kindly let me have complete manual in this regard.

i accidentally disabled my wireless network connection, its a broadcom 802 card. its built into my laptop. i cant figure out how to re enable it, i uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, removed the card, did every thing i could think of. what do i do??

I have a desktop PC running Windows XP SP3, When I leave my house in the morning, I would like to Restrict the internet access, so that people can still use the PC, but have NO internet access. Is there any simple way of doing this, without having to unplug my DSL modem?
There is no router this is a desktop pc.

I am getting dsl next week and the company said that I could just use my windows XP laptop without any cords because of the wireless adapter built in. He said that any laptops older then 2000 have the wireless adapter. Do I need anything or am I good to go once it is installed in to my house?

Do you have to pay a monthly fee?
Can you really get internet anywhere you want?
Does it require an existing internet connection?
-On the website it says that it strengthens your wireless connection, so does that mean you need one to start with or does the card provide you one?
Is it compatible with a Toshiba laptop windows XP?
i would also like to know how fast the connection is.

After I reinstalled Windows XP Pro, I have a problem with the network adapter.

When I try to open the dialer to my ADSL connection, I get error 769. I need to open My Computer – > Manage -> Device Manager, uninstall the network adapter (D-Link DE-528 Ethernet PCI Adapter), search for new hardware (Windows correctly finds the Ethernet adapter and installs the driver), then I need to configure the Local Area Connection for the ADSL connection. I also keep getting failures when I try to reinstall Norton Antivirus that are related to the network conections (I forget the exact message; it’s on my home machine).

I tried updating the drivers for the netowrk card but it didn’t help.

Is there any solution, other than replacing the network card? Would that even help?

It’s detecting my wireless network with strong connection, but when I try to connect it, it just stays on the connecting screen for a long time.. and it still doesn’t connect. I have windows XP, and I also tried to change my IP address prior because it says there was a "same IP address" conflict. I don’t know if this has to do with it. Please help me connect to the internet, thanks
