Why shouldnt Obama and the EPA mess with Texas?

Texas tells the Obama Administration EPA to fuck off! Yay Texas!

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/aug/25/texas-fights-global-warming-power-grab/?page=1

"In order to deter challenges to your plan for centralized control of industrial development through the issuance of permits for greenhouse gases, you have called upon each state to declare its allegiance to the Environmental Protection Agency’s recently enacted greenhouse gas regulations – regulations that are plainly contrary to U.S. laws. … To encourage acquiescence with your unsupported findings you threaten to usurp state enforcement authority and to federalize the permitting program of any state that fails to pledge their fealty to the Environmental Protection Agency. On behalf of the State of Texas, we write to inform you that Texas has neither the authority nor the intention of interpreting, ignoring or amending its laws in order to compel the permitting of greenhouse gas emissions."

Which Wireless adapter is the best if I have a D-Link DI-634M Wireless 108G MIMO Router?

Hi,

I have trouble setting up my wireless router and adapters in my house. I have 3 computers running on wireless adapter and the name of the adapter is: D-Link DWL-G510 Wireless Adapter.
On all of the computers I get a low signal and sometimes it even disconnects from the network. I have like one or two walls from each adapter. I know that the routers is really good, but what adapter should I buy if I want high signal on all of my computers. I was thinking of the "D-Link DWL-G520M PCI Wireless 108G MIMO Desktop Adapter up to 108Mbps Data Rates 64/128-bit WEP WPA—Wi-Fi Protected Access (PSK)" adapter. Would that work good if both the router and the adapter would be the same type with the same technologies? Please help. Thank you very much.

Wireless….?

I’m dial up and I have noticed when I get ready to log on, I get a message that I am in range of a wireless network/connection. Although I have never set anything up or have a "wireless card" on my laptop (I think Id need one?)when I click on the wireless icon..it says Default unsercured wirelss network. The network is configured for open access. Information sent over this network may be visible to others. If you want to connect to this network click connect. What is this all about? Wouldnt I need a "card" to connect or can I connect without one? Is this safe? And wouldn’t I have to have a ISP, so I can still have access to my main email address. Could someone just explain all this a little better..Im a little confused. I mean if I could connect w/out a card…who would I pay for the servcies to? Thanks for all your replies:)
My lap top is a Dell Inspirion 600m and is still relatively new…I purchased it last August. So is wireless quicker? Im sure it has to be vs. Dial up..And if I do try it…will they see any of my personal information?

Wireless won't connect for Vista and TP-Link?

I have a Gateway computer (T-Series) with Windows Vista. I have a TP-Link Wireless Router. I live in Ecuador and use the most popular internet company here (TV Cable). A few months ago my wireless stopped working. I can connect directly to the internet by connecting to the modem, and I can also connect by using ethernet cables (one going from the modem to router, and another going from router to my computer). My computer will connect at my job but it won’t connect at home and it wouldn’t connect at a shopping mall either. At first I thought it was because at work it’s a secured network and at home and the mall it wasn’t. So I came home and put a password on the TP-Link. Still won’t connect. It asks for the password, but then says it cannot connect. When I click on Diagnose Problem, Windows tells me that the "Wireless association failed due to an unknown reason." I’ve tried changing lots of settings in the TP-Link thing and nothing seems to work.

Help?
I also added more security options to the TP-Link adding the firewall etc. First responder, thanks for you answer, but it wasn’t really answer. How would I do what you suggested so vaguely??
And I don’t move from one location to another, I only did it to test if it was my computer with the problem or the router. The connection stopped working out of the blue for no reason I could tell. Other people can connect to the wireless router with other computers and my computer can connect to other wireless routers. MY COMPUTER CANNOT CONNECT TO MY WIRELESS ROUTER. Can you help me with that specific problem?
I have done that. I’ve reset, rebooted, and re-set up the wireless router according to what TP-Link says I should do and any information I could find from Windows about how to connect.
What security settings are you using for wireless? — Everything is enabled that TP -Link lets me enable.

Update:
Do you see the SID/network? Does it connect?
or does it give an error.

As I said in the original question, I can see the network, I can click to connect, put in the password, and then an error message comes up. Which is included in my original question.

How do the broadband wireless internet cards from AT&T, Verison, Sprint, etc…work?

If I understand right, you just plug it into your laptop and you can access the internet. Is that right? I’ve also heard that if you can get cell phone signal, then you can get signal with the card. Is that right?

After looking online, I found that you buy one month of service with it. Is there any contract involved like a cell phone would? After your month of service is up, do you have to buy a new card? Is it one month like "I bought it on September 26th, I HAVE TO buy a new one on October 26th" or is it like "1 month of service = 672 hours of internet access…after the 672 hours are over, then you have to buy a new card"?

I’ve never used one of these cards before…can someone set me straight?

can a wireless N router work as an access point and switch?

I have a primary network wired in on my first floor with a router running it. I have a single wired line to my third floor where I have several wired and wireless devices. I have a linksys wrt 300n router up there connecting them on a subordinate network. But devices up and down stairs can’t see each other (different networks). Can the wrt300n be used as a switch (wired) and access point (wireless) so all devices can share a single network. I only have one wire running upstairs and don’t want to make holes and run more cable. I appreciate any advice. Thanks.
there are 2 places for dhcp on the upstairs router. The "obtain an address automatically" for talking to the downstairs router and the internal DHCP for the computers downstream from the upstairs router. Do I set both to DHCP off and set both to 192.168.1.10, or do I just do the settings for the downstream? Thanks for answering, by the way.

CPU usage on Macbook?

Hey guys, I have a Mac OS version 10.5.8, with 2.4 GHz processor and 2gb 1067 MHz DDR3 memory.

I’ve been noticing my internal fan in my macbook has been spinning up real fast like it does when under a big load and I looked at the activity monitor and its the "lsof" that is taking up almost 100% CPU and causing that. I can force it to quit but it comes back a few minutes later.

What exactly is isof and how can i solve this problem? My macbook fan spins so hardcore, the bottom of it could literally give me 3rd degree burns!

Thanks for all help in advance!

Is this the "fundamental change" 0bama wanted?

Remember 0bama’s "fundamental change" remark http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvJJP9AYgqU

If 0bamacare passes, the government will have control of 49% of the economy..

Next will be Crap and Tax to redistribute wealth and weaken capitalism further

Then Card Check to give control of businesses to SEIU and the unions

Finally illegal alien amnesty to add to their voter base and secure "legal" elections.

In parallel, the economy is trashed by more and more spending, printing money makes the dollar worthless,

Leading for calls for the government to "do something"

Leading to government control of industrial output

Welcome to 0bamaland, USSA
