D-Link wireless router troubles!?

I have a D-Link wireless router and am having troubles with it. I had it all set up, but then the signal started to cut in and out all of the sudden on my laptop (even though it was working perfectly fine before). So then I reset the router, and it doesn’t seem to work any more. I hooked all the internet and cables back up (after resetting the router), but then my desktop computer didn’t pick up the internet, so I cannot set up the router online! I looked on the router and the only lights that lit up were the ones to indicate power and a network, and the light that indicates internet remains dark (even though I have my modem hooked up to it!!!). I need some answers on what to do here as it is really giving me serious troubles!

Can i connect directly the 2 wire from phone to my modem to access internet?

Actually, telephone wire is crossing in my room window. I’ll be planning connecting 2 terminals (by clipping it) going to the modem. It is possible that the internet access will work? How about the billing from the owner of the phone, is the phone bill affected?
Had made an inspection here and found 2 houses had been connected with others house. I don’t know if they permitted but seems it is illegal.

I have a modem in my basement for road runner. Out of that, I have a wireless router, with ports in the back. There is a wire going from the back of the router up to my room. I have tried putting another router in my room with an access point connected to it, but it didnt work because you cant have a router connected to a router. So, Waht do I need to buy to have a wireless connection and some plug in ports?

Will my internet access works on any cable access in the house?

We have 3 cable access in the house. My internet access runs from the cable access (Oceanic) via splitter. Would that means I can just hook up my modem in the vacant cable wiring?

Would a wireless adapter in a laptop connect to broadband?

I guess my first question is:
Is broadband something with a modem that you plug into your wall? or does it need to connect to a computer source to get internet?

Second:
Do you get a modem that wireless sources(like laptops/Xbox live wireless adapters) can connect to?

Yea sorry i’m basically clueless about this type of connection. lol broadband.

How to change connection type from USB to Ethernet for use with router?

I just bought a D-Link DIR-615 Wireless Router but am having trouble getting onto the internet with my modem through an ethernet cable as it is connected via a USB cable.

The manual for the router says that I need to ‘change connection types’. How do I accomplish this?

I want a solution that does not require me to purchase anything extra if possible please.

D-Link Wireless N Router Not Connecting To Internet?

I have recently purchased a D-Link Wireless N Router (DIR-615) and I set it up exactly how it told me in the setup guide. When I had attempted to connect to the internet, it would not but yet it said I had a internet connection. I had switched back to my modem and it worked just fine.

I also have a MacBook Pro and attempted to connect to my wireless internet through it and it didn’t work. How can I fix this problem? Is it the router?
I have also installed this same router on my grandmother’s computer and it works just fine.
