I am currently having a problem with a Dlink – DWL8200AP. MY laptop will authenticate off the server but as soon as it is logged in it says that there is ‘Limited to No connectivity’ and won’t let me connect to the internet.
The thing that is confusing is that the laptop has to hit off the Domain Controller to authenticate that I am a user. It does this but it doesn’t seem like it is issuing an IP to the machine.
The only way I can bypass this is to plug the laptop in using a hardwire till it grabs an IP from the server. Then I connect to the wireless with the hardwire still connected, and I am able to hit the internet wirelessly when I unplug the hardwire.
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
I’m positive it is the correct password, I set it.
We are using WPA2. At first the authentication would not work and I installed Windows Hotfix KB893357 that opened up WPA2 Authentication. Every one of my laptops have this installed on it.
The laptop IP addresses are dynamic and the access points are static. I will test one laptop and make it static and see if that helps any.
