I am moving in my own apartment with my girlfriend. She has a laptop and I have a desktop. I wanted to know what kind of internet service I should get so we both could be on our computers at the same time. And I just pay one bill. (If that is possible.) I am basically looking for the of this service. (Eg. Wireless internet, satellite internet, etc.)
I have a laptop that is a windows, the only place I can get internet is in my bedroom for some reason. Can someone tell me how internet routers work, if they work, how much they cost and where to get them? I would like to be able to get internet at the lake, outside, kitchen etc! please help!
I am getting a new laptop soon and I’m wondering how Internet cafes work. Do they use WIFI? Will I need to buy any extra equipment to acess the Internet or will they just have a cord that I can plug into my computer?

I just got this skytex laptop for my 15 birthday and I wanted to hook it up to my wired internet. I plugged the cable into into it and nothing happened. My computer wouldn’t connect to the internet. The thing that doesn’t makes sense to my is tha t my dad’s laptop still will connect to the internet using the same internet. Please help its ruining my birthday that I cant use my new present.
So I have cable internet on my desktop through comcast, but I also want internet on my laptop. If i get wireless internet for my laptop I don’t want to pay extra for my cable internet. How can I get internet for both without having to need 2 different internet packages?

i’m trying to connect my laptop to my BThomehub and it asks for you to type in your preffered access point.. what does this mean?
I just bought a netgear *WGR614v10* and anytime i try connect with my laptop to my wireless network it pops up with wireless adapter or access point problem… It was working fine just once then it started this. I went on Netgear’s site and downloaded the update for it but it didn’t help…
What do I have to do? Can I use my laptop or desktop?
