Can I use Linksys WUSB11 Wireless-B USB Network Adapter to go online wirelessly with my Playstation 2?

Is this possible? Do you recommend it?

Info:
I have a PC (downstairs) that uses Comcast broadband internet. It is connected to a wireless Netgear router. The other PC (upstairs) in my house connects to this router with a Belkin wireless adapter.

The problem I have now is I want to go online with my playstation 2 (upstairs), but I don’t know how to make the Playstation read my connection wirelessly. I don’t want to run an Ethernet cable from the first floor just to play! Taking my playstation downstairs is also out of the question! That’s why I’m wondering if I can use the Linksys WUSB11 Wireless-B USB Network Adapter to go online wirelessly through my Playstation 2′s ethernet port. Help plz!

Can I print over a network with a wired printer connected to a secondary wireless access point?

I have a printer with an Ethernet port that I once used for network printing. However, a recent rearranging of my house puts my wireless router too far away for the printer’s Ethernet cable to reach it. However, I have a spare wireless router, some kind of Linksys G router. Is there any way to add the router, with the printer connected to it, to my preexisting wireless network so that I can print from any computer on my network? If so, how? Thanks.

Can I connect a wireless router to a blue ethernet cable that supplies internet?

I live in student accommodation, and internet is supplied to our rooms through a blue ethernet cable running from the wall – the modem is elsewhere I guess. I plug the end of the cable straight into my laptop and I have internet – no logging in or anything. If I were to buy a wireless router and plugged the cable into that instead of my laptop, would that give me wireless?

What would provide a better Xbox Live Connection? Ethernet PC bridge or Wireless?

In order to get xbox live I can either buy a wireless adapter which id rather not do due to costs or use an Ethernet cable from my PC to the xbox as a "bridged connection".

Would the Ethernet bridge cause significant slow down? if so I would have to use wireless
Should been clearer – Distance from router to Xbox is too far for a cable but my PC next to it has wireless so I could either put an Ethernet from the PC to the Xbox or buy and Xbox wireless adapter.

If the an Ethernet from PC to Xbox would still give good connection it’d be better to use that but I dont know if it would cripple the bandwidth

Always only one fast ethernet connection in home network with multiple connected computers?

Hi,

Here, at home, we’re supposed to get ±10 MB/s via cable in a package that allows us to divide the internet for multiple users in the house. However, as soon as a minimum of two computers are connected, there is always one with a fast connection and the rest are slow (via speedtest.net : fast one has DL speed of ±8.75 MB/s, the slow ones 0.5 MB/s) And, it’s always the same computer that gets the fast internet.

I’ve tried restarting the modem and every other device countless times with every possible combination of plugged in cables, etc. But, it’s always that one PC that gets all the speed!

The modem got replaced by my provider recently (the problem existed before that) but, the box which separates the broadband and has all the ethernet cables connected to, is really old- do you guys think replacing that would fix it?

An other solution would be, if I could change it so that it was my PC that got the good speed, and not the rest, because they don’t need it as much. When I need internet speed I always have to disconnect all the other cables, so that only my ethernet cable is left in that old box.

A few legit suggestion would be deeply appreciated!!

I’m avoiding calling tech support because of them being a Belgian company, they are shit and will tell me they’ll send a guy over in 2 weeks who will do nothing and then charge 100 euros for the visit- like usual.

Thanks,
Raul JvH

How do I set up a local area network between two computers?

My brother and I are trying to hook up our computers so we can play a multiplayer computer game together. We need a Local Area Network. Is it as simple as running an ethernet cable between them?
