Will a CDMA 800/1900 MHz cellphone work on a GSM 900/1800 MHz network?
I just bought a cellphone in eBay and right after winning the bid I found out that its dual-band and it might not work on my network. Any ideas?

Hello everyone need your advice if anyone can help me.
I am looking for a long range wireless card usb/pci express i am not fussed but something that can help me pick up signals from long distances.
I am seeking long distance due to being a ten min walk from parents and having just moved into a flat they have kindly said i could use there net when ever i feel like but not being close enough i can’t use it and it would save me allot from using this terrible mobile broadband which is useless.
also i live in a town where there is plenty of wifi hot spots just not close enough for them.
So i have a few questions if you could kindly answer them
Which would be better usb or pci card ?
what would you recommend would be the best option for me pref something that’s cheap and does the job no need to spend hundreds on something that’s only gonna pick up some net.?
Is a range of a few miles overkill or what as i have heard it’s better to get well over what you want due to buildings, trees and other things in the way.
Would something that you can hang on the wall or outside be better for signal etc
I am and complete noob when it comes to these things and all help would be greater.
I heard somewhere that they are, my uncle owns several acres, and has two houses on his land. In the main house he has a router, but the other house is about half a mile away. I found a long range wireless adapter that advertises over a mile, which is good because I want to get a good signal. But I heard somewhere that they are illegal in the US. Is this true? If so, shouldn’t Amazon give me a warning before letting me buy it, or simply disallow me from buying it at all? Here’s the adapter I want.

Does the packaging come with English instructions?
How much are the standard per-minute local charges?
Would it interfere with another signal? Could I be fined for using that bandwidth?
Users manual doesn’t explain how to access the voicemail. And the dispaly screen is hard to read it is blurr. Can any of you please tell me how to operate the damn phone ![]()
