The 20 gb PS3 doesnt have wireless If you dont have a 20 and it doesnt work i dont know whats wrong

You have to "enable" the internet. If you’ve gone through the network settings i’d assume you can navigate the XMB. There is an option within settings –> network settings that says enable internet.
Aside from that, you can try to manually add your PS3 to your network. You need to know a few things though.
1. A free IP address(most routers assign addresses dynamically so be careful)
2. Your gateway thats usually 192/172.168.1.1
3. Your subnet mask thats 255.255.255.0 in 99.98% of home applications
4. Your DNS servers that are ISP dependent unless you have service with a third party.
If youre on a PC you can find the majority of this information by doing the following
1. Press the start button in the lower left corner
2. Press Run
3. type "cmd"
4. a new black window will open. In this window type "ipconfig /all" This will show you all of the information i listed above but the IP address will be specific to the this PC.
Good luck and i hope everything works out.
