How do you get the metal slot off the back of your computer to insert an Ethernet card?
I have to put an ethernet card into my 10 yr old computer. I have the back cover off the computer, but I need to "punch out" the metal slot so the metal part of the ethernet card is sticking out. I see no screws there, so how do I get the metal slot out of the back cover? Am I making any sense?

If it has a screw on it, unscrew it and pull it out. If there is no screw then you can use the tapping method to loosen it and then pull it out.

use to have an old computer–take a flat screwdriver and a hammer and tap it gently until it gives (the metal slot) and then pull it out
