How do I update a computer that doesn't have internet access?
I have a computer that needs to be updated but it doesn’t have internet access and I don’t want to buy the program disc. My computer is a Dell with Windows XP Home Edition and I want to put the service pack 3 on it.

You don’t access the internet with a disk. You access it with a cable or telephone modem. I’m sure your Dell has a built-in telephone modem.

If you go to you’re local Library you could download SP3 on there computer and save it to a USB Stick which you can stick into you’re laptop, double click the file and it will update it for you.
You could use a friends Net connection by .
You could also buy a Dongle to plug into you’re Laptop which gives you Net Access on PAYG.
You are Online for this question now, so you could download the SP3 from Microsoft!

Jessicca,
You can download Service Pack 3.0 from other machine which have internet and put in a Flash drive and paste into your machine.
Good Luck,
