How can i make my Desktop part of a wireless network?
My laptop already has a built in wireless adapter, and I was able to surf wirelessly in my little basement using my landlord home network (with his permeation). But, I also want to be able to surf using my desktop which, currently, is not part of the network. What kind adapter do I have to buy, and will it also let me share files with my laptop. I don’t have any control of the access point; since it is not my network, but my landlord doesn’t mind if I use the network without getting him in to any kind complication. Please help me sweeten my life.
Tanks!

A PCI WiFi card is actually a better choice than a USB WiFi adapter stick because the antenna that comes with PCI card is better and you’ll get better reception and faster connection.

You can add a PCI wirless adapter inside your computer (Best) Add a USB wireless adapter in an available USB port (better) or if you have an ethernet port in your system you can add a wireless hub. (good) I am assuming you cannot run a cat 5 cable direct to the router.
