How can I have internet connection, but no internet access?
I recently had a spyware attack on my laptop, but got it all repaired and now I can’t access the internet. My wireless connection is ‘Excellent’, but when I go to open a browser, it says that IE can’t connect to the web page. I have repaired the network connection and re-entered the IP address as well. Anyone have any ideas?

internet explorer is a basterd browser.
install mozilla or google chrome from another computer through flash drive(becoz u haven’t internet)

Try bypassing your router and connect directly to your dsl or cable modem. If that works then there is an issue with your router. if connecting directly to the modem does not work then open a command prompt and type in the following.
netsh int ip reset log.txt
netsh winsock reset
netsh firewall reset
(reboot your pc)
these commands will completely reset your computer’s connection to the internet.
if you are still unable to access the internet
open a web browser and in the address bar type in 209.191.93.52
if this opens yahoo then you have a dns problem
if you have a dns problem open the control pannel
in xp click on network connections
in vista or windows 7 click on network and sharing center then manage network connections
right click on wireless network connection and chose properties
click on internet protocol tcp/ip (in xp)
click on ipV4 (in vista or 7)
chose properties
click the radio button, use the following dns servers
in the first set of boxes enter 208.67.222.222
in the second enter 208.67.220.220
click on ok
now close and re-open your browser. This should correct the issue.
