How can I get the Wireless Network Connection Status icon box in the bottom right corner?
I just had a new harddrive installed, and my laptop came back with only the Wondows XP operating system installed. I’m trying to get online, and would normally click on the Wireless Network Connection Status box, click to View Wireless Networks, try to enter mine, and then enter the WEP code and encryption key to get in. Thoughts? Many thanks.

Mine sometimes doesn’t show up either. So I click on Start, Programs and look for the Wireless Adapter, click on that, and it puts the icon into the taskbar.

This is because u havn’t installed the driver for ur wireless netwrok adapter
Install the driver and u’ll get the prob solved

Good day. Most likely yur wireless driver is missing or u havent set up the program yet. On the desktop, right click on my computer, click hardware tab and then device manager. If u see and ! or ?, drivers are disabled. X means that the driver has been disabled. Laterz.
