How can I connect my desktop computer with FEDORA11 to the internet using a usb wireless adapter?
I using windows xp and I connect it to the internet using a USB wireless adapter, Now I moved to the fedora 11 and I want to connect it to the internet, but the OS does not recognizes my usb wireless adapter, can anyone please tell me how to connect my computer with fedora 11 to the internet( from the hardware , software and configuration)? thanks

This linux operating system may not have device drivers for the USB adapter. Go back to the Fedora site and look around. They may have a device driver section, but i doubt it.
There is a chance that the maker of your USP adapter has linux device drivers. Look at their web site too.

You can try using NDIS wrapper on the Windows driver, but that rarely works.
Does the system not recognize the device at all?
What happens when you open a terminal and type:
lsusb
That should give a list of the USB devices connected to the computer. If it doesn’t show up there, you’re in trouble.
