connect xbox with ethernet cable and be wireless on laptop?
hi,
i now have my laptop directly connected with virgin cable.
so i have to switch every time i want to use xbox live.
if i buy a wireless router. can i be on the laptop wireless and still use an ethernet cable from the same router to connect to my xbox live for online play? if so will this give me lag and which router do you reccomend?

Yes. If you buy say a linksys wireless router that has both 802.1x signals and ethernet ports, you can plug in your XBOX and also either plug in your laptop or use the 802.1x wireless signal for your laptop.
