I’m trying to do this to have more wireless coverage in my house. Tried it once but the router had no internet connection. But the all the lights were green. My router is a Netgear WGR614. And how would I configure my laptop for this?
My xbox 360 is in my room and my computer is in my dining room? And im getting xbox live in like 2 weeks and i don’t know which one would be better ??

I recently bought a DIR-301 D-link wireless router and it installed perfectly on my downstairs computer. It came with a DWA-111 wireless adapter which I have tried to install on my windows XP in my bedroom but it keeps telling me that the installation failed and tells me that files are either missing or corrupt. My computer also fails to recognise the tech being installed.
The computer I installed the router on was also a windows XP and as I said, it works perfectly.
I have tried installing and uninstalling and rebooting the computer but it doesn’t seem to work and I have searched the web and it seems lots of people are having the exact same difficulty with the adapter.
It would be great if someone could give me any suggestions?

I would also like to point out, before anyone decides to state the obvious, I did contact D-link support and they just advised to install and uninstall and reboot comp.
( Basically their help was useless )

i am getting wired internet for christmas and i want to use the ethernet cord on the ps3 but im not sure if you can do so with a wired connection. PLEASE HELP!!! (and if you know if charters wireless internet comes with a router, that would help)
I have a D-link wireless router and i have a d-link pci card in my desktop. When i try to make a wireless network with Windows it tells me to plug in my USB to my computer, and then my wireless acces point(which i’m thinking is the router)…I"m stuck here. My wireless has no USB to plug into. What am i supposed to do?
OR
at least can some1 just tell my how to make a wireless network with this equipment assummming i know nothing (b/c i don’t)

I had this setup work before, but it was some1 else that had set it up for me, So i know it works. O_o why do other ppl always make it look so easy?
Actually i looked into it more and i found out that i had actually set up the network properly. Its just that when i look into the VIEW AVAIBLE NETWORKS my network only has one bar out of a few…so i can’t connect since the signal strength is so low. But when i used the set up before, all the bars were up, and the computer and router are in the same location/distance. Whats causing this problem? what am i doing wrong?
I am confused. I have DSL on my phone line (the jack is very far away from my computer) and I was planning on connecting the dsl modem to the wireless router, and connecting wirelessly via my computer. But for some reason they are not communicating? Do I have to physically connect my computer to the router? If it helps my wireless router is a netgear WGT624 and my computer is a desktop. Hey guys,
I need some serious help in regards to setting up my wireless router.
I just bought 2 new Apple iMacs and need to set up a wireless network. I purchased the D-Link router and am currently trying to set it up. I’ve been through the instructional CD-rom but says i need to set up an IP address.
I had it working 5 minutes ago, so I went to my iMac and clicked the wireless network and typed in the password. It said there was an AirPort error?
Please please please please please help me!
