Can someone please tell me how to access wireless internet… I dont know the password!?
I just bought an HP pavillion D7 series laptop, it’s great! My problem is the wireless router I bought with it is not compatable with my modem… I have wireless internet but can’t access it without some sort of key… Can anyone tell me how to get around this??

If it came with a default key it should be on the bottom of your router. If you forgot the key or didn’t set one read your router’s manual to find out how to set another one.

You can’t have a wireless router that’s not compatible with our modem. Look through the guide or call the company if you have to, but it MUST be compatible.
The "key" you’re referring to will be either for a WEP or WAP encryption scheme. The purpose of this encryption is to ensure that only you get to use your wireless internet, and your neighbours don’t mooch of your connection.
The default code should be listed on the box, instruction manual, or on the router itself. You could also try connecting your computer directly to the router with a LAN cable. Then, open up a browser window and type "192.168.1.1" or whatever the address for your router is, and go in a change the wireless key to whatever you want.
