I want to turn my Belkin G Router (Model: F5D7230-4) into a Wireless Network Gaming Adaptor for my Xbox 360 so i don’t have to pay 0odd for the Microsoft adaptor. I’ve heard I need to flash the firmware with the risk of turning it into a useless brick. Can anyone help?
The computers at my school are all infected, so I want to use my laptop. Problem is there are no wireless signals so I have to use the Ethernet connection that the infected computers use. Can this give me the same viruses?
How can i tell my windows vista to send all my internet traffic through the wireless broadband and ignore the LAN? and for my normal programs just leave it?
I forgot to add. I need to use both connections simultaneously. Is that is why i need to route it to the wireless connection.
I have both xp and vista and a pc that is connected to a modem (ethernet). Inside the PC, I have a wireless network card. I want to make this act as an access point for my several PC’s and devices I have. I do NOT want to buy a wireless router as my service provider has given me a modem that HIDES the password for the connection. I need to use it. So how do ~I do it? I have messed about with the windows settings and SOMETIMES it works. Is there a step by step instruction book out there???

There is a LAN input on the back of the reciever. I’m figuring I can connect a wireless bridge into the port, but what kind of specs should I be looking at in a bridge/router?
Would this do the trick? http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-computer-accessories-Netgear-WGPS606-Wireless-Bridge-W0QQAdIdZ182449026
I want to be able to access the movies/TV shows and music I have stored on my "central" PC that’s hosting the existing wireless network in my house.
I ordered a TP-LINK TL-WA701ND IEEE 802.11b/g/n 150Mbps Wireless Lite N Access Point so I could get a better wireless signal in my room upstairs for my iPod touch and Xbox 360 Slim and my BluRay player.
Will this access point work with these? How do I set it up? (I know, I already bought it without researching much at all.) Where could I put it in relation to my router and room for the best signal? Is 150mbps fast enough for xbox live and such?
My router is a LINKSYS WRT54GS.
Thanks in advance.
I have two HP Entertainment PCs (tx2000 and dv2000), with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium and Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, respectively and a wireless network up and ready. I mean, I can share internet connections. But, how to transfer pictures and other files? I am really confused.
I have really great knowledge of computers but this is one place I lack just a bit.
Please help. Thanks for your time.
USB ports are supposed to able to handle up to 50 devices connected in sequence to the USB port. However, if I add just two USB extensions to increase the range of my D-Link Wireless Adapter, my computer stops recognizing it.
What the hell is going on?
